Good experience overall

I ordered a Directory Site Review and a Custom Sidebar Widget service. The site review was pretty thorough, pointed out some stuff I hadn't even thought about. The widget was installed quickly, took 3 days for them to get it integrated and looking right. Communication was good, they responded within a day each time I had a question. Felt like a solid service for the price.

Love my new search results!

I got the Search Results Layout customization and it made such a difference! My site looks so much better now. It was fast too, they had it done in just a few days. So happy with it, definitely going to get more stuff done here in the future. Highly recommend!

Always reliable, great work

This was my third time using Directory Tool Kit, and they're consistently good. I first got a Custom Form Builder, then a Speed Optimization, and this time it was a Member Dashboard Redesign. Each time the process was smooth. They understand Brilliant Directories really well, which is a huge plus. The dashboard redesign really cleaned up the user experience on my site. They're my go-to for anything complex. They deliver on time and the work is always high quality. I'll definitely be back for more services when my directory grows.

Hey, thinking about getting that 'Directory Site Review'. What does it actually include? Is it just like a basic report or do they really dig in?

P Paula Walsh 2 months ago

From what I remember when I got mine, they check a bunch of stuff like your SEO, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience. They gave me actionable steps, not just 'your site is slow'.

B Brett Nguyen 2 months ago

Yeah, it's pretty thorough. They even looked at my category structure and pointed out some things I could optimize for better conversions. Worth it, imo.

if I buy one of their tools like the 'member custom tab' and it just doesn't work right with my site, can I get a refund?

M Mia 2 months ago

I think for digital tools, it's usually a standard refund policy if it's genuinely not working as advertised. For custom *services*, that's a bit trickier, but they usually work with you until it's right.

D Daisy 2 months ago

Yeah, I had an issue once and they were pretty good about it. Didn't need a refund in the end, they just fixed it up for me.

Does anyone know if these guys offer any coupon codes for custom development services? I'm looking at getting a few things done and trying to save a buck.

D Dana J. 2 months ago

I don't think they do direct coupon codes for custom dev, at least not that you type in at checkout. Afaik, those discounts usually come on a custom invoice if you're getting a bigger project or bundle.

J Josh 2 months ago

Sometimes they have those 'early bird' or 'bundle' deals that act like discounts for services. Keep an eye out around Black Friday or the new year, that's when I saw some good stuff.

I'm between using Directory Tool Kit for some customization or just trying to figure it out with BD Gurus. Has anyone used both? What's the main difference?

T Tom Carter 1 month ago

I've used DTK quite a bit. They're really good for specific tools and deep dives into things like SEO or speed. BD Gurus, in my experience, is more general support, good for smaller tweaks but less specialized.

T Tara E. 1 month ago

DTK feels more 'productized' if that makes sense, even for custom stuff. They have specific offerings. BD Gurus felt a bit more like hiring a freelancer for hourly work. Both can be good, just different vibes.

how long does it typically take to get a custom sidebar widget implemented? need something specific kinda fast.

R Rachel 2 months ago

Totally depends on the complexity. A simple one could be a few days, but if it's super intricate and needs a lot of back-and-forth, it might stretch to a week or two. Best to ask them directly with your specifics.

R Raj M. 2 months ago

Mine was pretty quick, like 3-4 days from giving them access to it being live. They communicate well about the timeline.
